Dear Customers this is about paying your Bill 3/25/2003

We have been very lenient in letting past bills go by with out canceling or suspending these accounts.
We have also made bill paying as simple as possible.
But for some reason some people are still not paying their bills to ISRV ?
If you have made payment arrangements with billing to pay your bill please keep in contact with billing.
We still have customers that have not paid their bill for 3 months and are still not shut off.
This must STOP, We can not run a business and carry late customers for many months.
We are going to start to ask the customers that are consistently  late to pay in advance.
Late Charges as well as Fines will be paid on these late accounts.
As well all email is deleted from the users account once the account is past due and suspended.
This new system will be in place very soon and every thing will be automatic!
I'm sorry but we just can't run a business in the red all the time

About E-Mail on ISRV 1/10/03

If you as a customer do not use your email account or accounts on ISRV we would like to know about this.
If you use any other E-mail Services such as "Yahoo, Hotmail, Juno, etc. We would like you to send us a valid email address so we may add this to our Records and Billing info so we can keep you up to date. If you do not use any e-mail service, we also need to know this information, So we can also keep our Records straight.


 

A Spam Program That really Work!! 11/11/2002

Finally A Spam program that really works the way you want it to :)
We at ISRV have been looking for something like this for a long time.
This Program will let the customers configure what e-mail's they want and what they don't want.
It will give you the ability to delete, bounce, or blacklist the senders before you ever get your mail.
As far as I'm concerned this is the best little program around. I have been only using it a few days and I love it.
Please give this a try if your tired of SPAM. This is a must look try program

Please Read Quotas set for Mailboxes 9/3/2002

Mailbox Quotas have been set to 4 meg of Mail.
This has nothing to do with the size mail message you can send,, it is still set to 2.5meg per Message.
But once the quota limit has reached "4meg" of messages in your mailbox,
you will not be able to receive any mail from anyone sending you mail, Till you download your Messages.
If you do not download your email from the server it will keep sending this message "quotas for users-mailbox has been exceeded" 
and you will not receive any new mail till you retrieve your existing mail left on our server.
During this time a return message will be sent to the user or users that are trying to send you email saying,
"quotas for users-mailbox has been exceeded".
Please be sure you do not have your email program setup to leave a copy of mail on the sever.

The Reason we are holding off on the spam filters to the users 8/23/2002

Is because till we understand how to stop unwanted mail and let the mail you do want through you may lose legitimate mail.
I have the filters installed on my mailbox and I get NO SPAM at all, But I also do not get some of the mailing lists I'm on either.
So we have to be careful not stopping legitimate mail wanted by the users! This is not an easy so please be patience till we have this figured out.

SPAM FILTERS

We have had some amazing results with the new spam filters. 
We are just testing on a few mail boxes right now, So far they seem to be working Amazing.
Looks like we may be able to cut spam down to a minimum after all.

Services Back to Normal other than a few Tweaks 8/15/2002

We have all services back to normal!! There still will be some tweaking of the system to workout small bugs, But on the most Part ISRV is 99.9% operational. Some Spam Filters and other user friendly applications we will be adding over a period of time will be posted as available.

We are Having a Baby 5/22/2002

Well I guess its time to let all the customers we are having a baby sometime in the next 4 weeks.
If we seem a little slow getting back to your voice mail this would be the reason.
This is our first Baby and needless to say we are very excited about this.
Val has had to rest a lot lately and I'm trying to do this all by myself :( So please be patience.
We may be just a little slower than we have been in the past as for response times, But we will be sure to keep things running as smooth as possible during this time.

Spy ware is also a concern to user.
I recommend you go to this site and download this program, It is very helpful in stopping the transmission of unwanted information from your computer to companies, hackers, and spammers.

What we are trying to do over the next Week or so. 5/20/2002

Due to Major Virus epidemics and Spam.
We will be working on the send mail server this week as well. Your email maybe interrupted from time to time.
Your browsing may also be Interrupted from time to time. We hope to keep interruptions to the very minimum.
ISRV will also be parsing email on a regular basis to try to stop the spread of any viruses!
People have ask me what parsing means, It means we will be deleting email from time to time.
This is why I have ask you to check your mail everyday if Possible.

If you do not have an Anti Virus Program on your computer I suggest you get one, such as Norton Anti Virus 2002.
With Any Anti Virus Please keep your Virus definitions up to date.
I have been running Norton Anti-Virus for many Years and have found it to be the most reliable to date.
Some people have reported to me that they have had many other anti-virus software that has not caught many of the viruses out there.
As Well Many People have already received viruses and have had to have their computers repaired costing them much more than any virus program.

We will be working on this and keeping you informed of our status! This is being done for the Safety of our Customers.

What we are trying to do is update the send mail server to the latest versions and stopping any exploits possible.
We hope by making these changes we will be able to slow down Spam and be able to have more control over things.
We will also be setting up all spam filters possible and any proactive programming we can do server side.
We can not guarantee you will not get any spam, but we will be slowing it down.
As we are working on these upgrades you may experience email sending and retrieval problem, We hope to keep this to a minimum.
This is the never ending Battle against spam and malicious attacks against ISP's all over the world.

We will be installing a New Server 3/28/2002
This new server will be installed with in the next 2 weeks.
When installing this new server we hope to implement new spam rules to cut down on the amount of spam you may be receiving.

Also if you do not receive your email from your ISRV's email account or accounts They maybe disabled.
So if you are using other email addresses such as Juno, Hotmail, ETC please notify us. so we may forward your email to your

New Billing Policies 6/20/2001
Please Check our New Billing Policies. This New Billing Structure went into affect 3-1-2001
Giving the customers a reasonable amount of time to adjust to the New Billing.
All Billing Policies will be strictly enforced from this day forward. 6-20-2001

Mail Server set to 2.5 Meg Per Message Size. 12/18/2000
The Reason the mail server was set to 2.5 Meg Per message size was the simple fact that Messages over this size could slow down or clog some peoples mail accounts. If you need to send messages over this limit please send over some other form of transferring protocol (FTP,IRC,ICQ),or break your messages into smaller portions.

There has been a change at Zippo News Service.
snews2.zippo.com is no longer functioning and all
users should change their server to cnews.newsguy.com

Please retrieve your e-mail from our server 12/3/1999

Some of our customers have been leaving mass amounts of e-mail on our server. Please retrieve your e-mail from our server everyday if possible!
I understand that a lot of people have other e-mail accounts like hotmail, and other web based e-mails were they also receive e-mail, These customers should also be aware they have a ISRV e-mail account and should check it everyday for updates and anything else they may receive on it.
Also customers should be aware in your e-mail program or programs that you use to download your mail there is an option to leave mail on server this should not be checked, if you have it checked please remove the check in leave mail on server. Let me rephrase this a little, we will start deleting e-mail that has not been checked for quite some time, What I mean by this is the people that are not getting their e-mail off the server and letting it build up to mass amounts will be ask to please retrieve their mail before it is deleted. Most of our customers retrieve their mail in a timely manner and do not let it build up to an Enormous size or amount. You may request mail be left on the server if you have a Very Good reason, Such as I'm going on vacation and have no way to get my e-mail for the next 30 days.
