Prohibited Uses

User may not:

  1.  Send unsolicited email, (known as 'spam') to anyone residing on our servers or through our servers, or when dialed into the network. The following types of email sent constitute as spam:
     
  2. Forged email To/From address other than from the actual sender or to the actual recipient.
  3. Message subject not related to the email body.
  4. Email not requested by the recipient.
  5. Emails sent in bulk by sender.
  6. Email bombs
  7. Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Internet
     
  8. Post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane, or otherwise objectionable information of any kind, including without limitation any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, state, national or international law, including without limitation the U.S. export control laws and regulations
     
  9. Post on web space provided any sexually explicit materials or materials that may be offensive.
     
  10. Post or transmit any information or software which contains a Virus, Cancel Bots, Trojan horse, Worms or other harmful component
     
  11. Post, publish, transmit, reproduce, distribute or in any way exploit any information, software or other material obtained through the Service for commercial purposes (other than as expressly permitted by the provider of such information, software or other material)
     
  12. Upload, post, publish, transmit, reproduce, or distribute in any way, information, software or other material obtained through the Service which is protected by copyright, or other proprietary right, or derivative works with respect thereto, without obtaining permission of the copyright owner or right holder
     
  13. Upload, post, publish, transmit, reproduce, transmit or distribute in any way any component of the Service itself or derivative works with respect thereto.
     
  14. Send unsolicited advertising or promotional materials to other network users (See section titled "MESSAGING")
     
  15. Allow users to run Mail list, Listserv or any form of auto-responds from User's account
     
  16.  Run or activate processes while User is not logged in
     
  17.  Violate the security of any computer network, crack passwords or security encryption codes, transfer or store illegal material including that deemed threatening or obscene, or engage in any kind or illegal activity
     
  18.  Attempt to defeat any idle timer or system tool intended to enforce the part-time and personal nature of User's connection, including the use of ping bots and other methods of avoiding timing disconnection (See section titled "LIMITATIONS OF DIAL-UP SERVICES"); or violate any of the rules, regulations and policies of those networks and computer systems accessed via User's account.
     
  19. ISRV has no obligation to monitor the Service. However, User agrees that ISRV has the right to monitor the Service electronically from time to time and to disclose any information as may be necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or other governmental request, to operate the Service properly, or to protect itself or its subscribers. ISRV will not intentionally monitor or disclose any private E-mail message unless required by law. ISRV reserves the right to refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, that, in its sole and absolute discretion, are unacceptable, undesirable, or in violation of this Agreement. ISRV reserves the right to suspend access to the Service for User's account. The account's suspension may be rescinded within the sole and absolute discretion of ISRV following payment of a reconnection charge, to be determined by ISRV in its sole and absolute discretion.

 

The sending of SPAM entails a $500 clean-up fee and service termination, with no possibility of refund. In addition to this, you will void the privacy policy set forth by ISRV. ISRV will provide, as per request, all crucial customer details to any persons or organizations whom file a complaint as a direct result of bulk email receipt. As a direct result of sending unsolicited email (SPAM), these companies may opt to file criminal and civil lawsuits on any persons or companies participating in the submission of unsolicited bulk email.

 

  Other Measures on Spam and Malicious Acts 4/7/98

We will start blocking by Domain Name as well as IP address outside of ISRV
(if the problems cannot be resolved by contacting the ISP where the Act or Acts are in question).
Most ISP's today look at Spam, Bulk Mailing, ICMP,Win Nukes or any other Malicious Acts
as a reason to terminate the users account. Users of  ISRV must be aware that Most ISP's have
ways of tracking these types of attacks and will report these attacks. We at ISRV will not tolerate
any such abuse on the service.

  SPAM ABUSE 12/3/97

This is to All the Users of ISRV

Anyone Using ISRV to Send Bulk or Unsolicited Mail Of any Kind Shall be removed from the system without notification or Reimbursement of any Payment. There are NO EXCEPTIONS Granted to Abusers. Unsolicited e-mail By US Code Title 47, Sec 227 (a) (2) (B) , a computer/modem/printer Meets the definition of a telephone fax machine. By Sec.277 (b) (1) (C), it is unlawful to Send any unsolicited advertisement to such equipment, punishable by action to recover actual Monetary loss, or $500, whichever is greater, for each violation. Anyone responsible for these offenses will be dealt with in accordance to Law. From this Date 12-3-97 all users of ISRV are being logged and any abuse shall come under This federal Law.
