SPAM ABUSE
ZERO Tolerance Policy.
You wont get a Second Chance!
- UPDATE 6-20-2001
We have implemented a New deterrent for
SPAM it is called RBL. ((Realtime Blackhole List).
Basically how the RBL works is...
Whenever mail is received sendmail connects to the RBL server and checks
the address...if it fails...it gives them an error and it tells them to
go to the RBL site for information and the message doesn't come through.
If the address is not on the RBL, then the message goes through.
I, recommend all the users going to http://maps.vix.com/rbl/
to read the
information that they have there. It pretty much explains everything
If you still have Questions after reading the information, Please contact us
we will help you any way we can.
Thank you Darrell Francisco.
- UPDATE 9-26-2000
ISRV has implemented a new SPAM Policy. Any site hosted on ISRV will
not be permitted to use SPAM to advertise their site, if ISRV receives 3
complaints dealing with any particular site the site will be taken down
because of the spam. Please ensure your understanding of this policy
if you need further clarification, please contact us.
- Spam is becoming a Real BIG Problem 2/28/2000
Soon we will be
implementing New Spam blocking protocols. Spam has become unacceptable
due to the amount of,
E-mail Services on the Net, most of these e-mail services
do not have any regard for any user, and do not have any Anti-Spam Policies.
If you as a user subscribe to an e-mail service that has
No Spam policies! Please be aware their Domain may be Blocked!
- Blocking Spam 4/6/99
Due to the amount of Spam related site's on the Internet, we
at ISRV have started to block many
sites which have No-Spam policies.
- Zero Tolerance 2/2/99
What does this mean? Anyone sending spam or other unsolicited
junk mail will have their account,
terminated, Without notice, or any refund of applied
payment or payments to their account for abuse.

| Other Measures on Spam and Malicious Acts 4/7/98
We will start blocking by Domain Name as well as IP address outside of ISRV
(if the problems cannot be resolved by contacting the ISP where the
Act or Acts are in question).
Most ISP's today look at Spam, Bulk Mailing, ICMP,Win Nukes or any other Malicious Acts
as a reason to terminate the users account. Users of ISRV must be aware that Most
ISP's have
ways of tracking these types of attacks and will report these attacks. We at ISRV will not
tolerate
any such abuse on the service.
